Symptom: When attempting to install the program the error message; "The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact software manufacturer for assistance." appears.
Why?: This error displays when you are attempting to install the software while logged into a Standard user account, in other words, an account that is not the Administrator.
Solution: Verify that you are logged in as an account with Administrator privileges.
- Begin by checking the System Preferences and selecting Accounts.
- Verify that My Account is an Admin and not a Standard user.
