Symptom: When starting the program as the Administrator you are able to see the program but when starting it up as an another account you get a black screen with three grey boxes.

Why?: The permissions from the Administrator profile did not propagate through to the applications "Art" folder.

Fix: This must be done from the Administrator profile.

  1. Open the finder, select Applications: press and hold Control on your keyboard and click on the "Sunburst" folder or right-click.
  2. Select "Get Info".
  3. Scroll to the "Sharing & Permissions:" section and click the lock icon in the bottom right corner to unlock the settings. Set the "Privilege" for "Everyone" to "Ready Only". Click on the gear symbol and select "Apply to enclosed items..."
  4. Once completed close "Sunburst Info" window and select the Type to Learn 4 folder: press and hold Control on your keyboard and click on the "Art" folder or right-click.
  5. Select "Get Info".
  6. Scroll to the "Sharing & Permissions:" section and click the lock icon in the bottom right corner to unlock the settings. Set the "Privilege" for "Everyone" to "Ready & Write". Click on the gear symbol and select "Apply to enclosed items..."
  7. Now you may log-in to a managed user account and start the application.

For network admins: Network admins you may apply these permissions by using the following UNIX commands:

chmod -R 775 /Applications/Sunburst
chmod -R 777 /Applications/Sunburst/Type\ to\ Learn\ 4/Art
