Device Information on the edredi portal

Device Information for all devices under an Organization as a whole or for an individual device is available on the edredi portal.

Places to access Device Information on the edredi portal include:

    • View - "Show All Properties"
      • This option is located on the Dashboard in the blue panel to the right, where you click on "Advanced" to select this option. 
      • This option will show all the properties of all devices associated with the Organization, its Sub-Organizations as well as its Parent Organizations.
    • Device Information Screen
      • This screen can be accessed by either clicking on the Device name in View.
      • This screen displays an individual Device's information as well:
    • While most of the information on the Device Information Screen is generally self-explanatory, there are a few areas that have additional information that may be helpful:
      • Group - this is an editable feature that offers another method for adding the device to an existing group or even creating a new one. For more info, please click here.
      • Notes - this is an editable field, offering a place to add any small notes pertaining to the device.
      • Tracking enabled - this information indicates if tracking was enabled on said device. Tracking can be turned on or off manually for the device in the device's settings under "Location".
      • Location from Network - this information shows the general location provided by the Wifi Network that the device is connected to. This information will only appear if Location Services is turned on in the device's settings. Location Services is not a requirement, and can be turned on or off as needed.
      • Location from GPS - this information shows the general location provided by the GPS of the device. This information will only appear if GPS is available on the device and if it's turned on in the device's settings. Location Services is not a requirement, and can be turned on or off as needed.
      • Serial - if the device comes with a serial number installed, it will automatically populate in this area. If it does not, this will remain blank.
