When an Organization is first created, an Enrollment QrKey is also created for the Organization. New Tokens for the Enrollment QrKey can be created from within the edredi portal. Changing the Token for an Organization effectively deactivates the previous Organization QrKey that was being used.
This feature is helpful for teachers at the end of a semester or school year when students may move to a different class with a different Organization. This can also be used if a student is trying to switch around between Organizations he or she should not be in.
The Organization Token can be changed by completing the following steps:
- Go to the Organization Properties Page from within the edredi portal by clicking on the arrow next to your username in the upper right hand corner of the screen, then click on your Organization's name:
- To the right, click on Enrollment, and then on Create New Token.
- After clicking on Create New Token, a box will appear. By clicking Create in this box, all previous QrKeys for the Organization will be invalid.
- A new, unique QrKey will be created for your Organization enrollment. The code beneath the QrKey will also change.
